In Marion, Kentucky, during the summer of 1928, a group of Christian men met in Fohs Hall for the purpose of organizing a Baptist Church. On August 12, 1928, The Marion Baptist Church, was organized with 134 charter members for the purpose of serving the Lord and spreading His word. Many of these new members of Marion Baptist had backgrounds in the nearby First Baptist Church and other Churches in Marion. The Cornerstone taken from the First Baptist Church is on display in the basement of Marion Baptist Church as a reminder of its heritage.
